As the S-Class among SUVs, the new Mercedes-Benz GLS offers more of everything: more space, more comfort, more luxury. The air of supreme confidence emanating from its exterior stems from its impressive dimensions. Its general spaciousness, especially in the second seat row, benefits from the 60 mm longer wheelbase. The three rows of seats offer ample space and seating comfort for all passengers. The seats in the third row can be lowered into the floor to increase the boot space (up to 2400 litres), while the seats in the second row fold flat.
Power comes from a 3.0-liter Inline-6 twin turbo diesel with 325 hp and a whopping 700 Nm of torque. Coupled with 9G-Tronic gearbox and all-wheel drive, the GLS400d is capable of a 0 to 100kmh in 6.3 seconds and a top speed electronically limited to 238kmh. The DYNAMIC SELECT variable dynamic control system assigns fundamentally different characteristics to the five transmission modes of INDIVIDUAL, COMFORT, SLIPPERY and SPORT, which the driver is able to select using a rotary control on the centre console. DYNAMIC SELECT networks all the control systems, generating different sets of parameters for distinct driving experiences.
